Integrated MEC deployment which lies much to the opening of N4 interface in 5G network

◇ The User Plane Function(UPF) has a key role in an intergrate MEC deployment in a 5G network. UPFs can be seen as a distrubuted and configurable data plane from the MEC system perspective.

◇ The control of that data plane, i.e. the traffic rules configuration, now follows the NEF-PCF-SMF route. Consequently, in some specific deployments the local UPF may even be part of the MEC implementation.

The opening of N4 interface is the KEY to 5GC

◇ The application of 5G aims at building more private wireless networks. If mobile operators want to touch this market, UPFs of 5GC need to be distributed into the factories, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, airports, railway stations, CBDs, etc., and to conect to MEC functions. Therefore, the key to open N4 interface lies in localbreakout but the Top 5GC vendors do not follow this trend!

IPLOOK provide a solution that combines 3GPP network functions from EPC and 5GC architectures into a common Cloud native software platform that supports 5G NR Stand-Alone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA), 4G, 3G and 2G accesses technologies.

As one of the major suppliers of 3G, 4G and 5G core network, IPLOOK is committed to providing high-reliable communication services toourcustomers around the world.
