Raleigh, NC -- 12/07/2012 -- Dr. Ephraim John Udofia is on a mission to continue sharing the word of the Christian faith around the world. “In 2010, while en route to begin some mission work in Kenya,” said Udofia, “I heard the words like a quiet voice saying, ‘lift up your eyes, and look on the fields for they are white already to harvest.’ And that moment was the beginning of my focus and dedication to Kenyan missions.”

Udofia and his mission group donated bibles to school and orphanages during the 2010 trip, and returned in 2011 to continue their work. “On our second trip we held a city-wide crusade and training in Kisumu,” continued Udofia. “We also spent about a month hosting crusades, church plantings, and baptisms. We founded churches and worked in districts with critical needs, such as Mayata, a slum that had become so dangerous because of the abject poverty in the area.”

“This is why we need to return to continue our work,” Udofia explained. “In 2013, we need to get back to Kenya and enlarge our mission activities.” The missionary work being undertaken by Udofia and his team is a costly task. “We would like to raise sufficient funds to train local pastors, distribute Bibles and other literature, support orphanages, donate to local missions and charity organizations, and initiate feeding programs for children and the poor,” said Udofia.

To fund this upcoming Kenya mission, Udofia has launched 2 simultaneous campaigns to raise a total of $30,000 on the Indiegogo and GoFundMe websites. Indiegogo.com and GoFundMe.com are sites where people and organizations post their causes, projects, inventions or other ideas. Site visitors who wish to help a particular project make a donation of any amount they choose, and often receive rewards or perks for their contribution.

“We will be very glad to have supporters and sponsors donate to the mission and stand with us in financial support and in prayers,” said Udofia.
