True Bond over Instant Gratification

Build a deeper and stronger meaningful relationship during this pandemic, and this will make the physical even more fulfilling when the time comes

With the nature of the world at a standstill because of the coronavirus pandemic, more and more people have been watching new shows that have arrived on the various streaming services. One show that has captured the attention and hearts of viewers around the world has been Netflix’s new dating show, Too Hot to Handle. This experimental dating show took 14 attractive singles in their 20s and placed them on an island under the guise that they were there to hook up and have a majestic month in Mexico. Upon arrival, however, they learn that it’s actually a competition with a grand prize pot of $100,000. To get the full prize, they must follow the guidelines of the beach, no hooking up of any kind. If these rules are broken, there will be deductions from their cash pool. If someone kisses, has sex, or any kind of heavy touching, the participants would lose money from their pot. The goals of this experiment were for the contestants to refrain from concentrating on the physical and building emotional connections. It was to show them that there is more to life than instant gratification. Being able to create a strong bond with someone will only make their physical connection even greater.
The show comes out during a very appropriate time, as people who continue to date, have resorted to building their connections without any physical touch. With the quarantine limiting date destinations, not allowing people to congregate in public, and discouraging physical contact for fear of spreading the virus, people have been finding more creative ways to date from their homes. Without the presence of kissing, sex, or physical interaction, people are realizing what they really want from a relationship when it comes to mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. With the absence of sexual temptation, people have to rely on conversing and engaging in social distancing dating, whether it’s Netflixing, playing games, using Zoom, Houseparty, Google Hangouts, or another video chatting service, or whatever allows you to connect to your date.
What Too Hot to Handle as well as our current circumstances show us, is that hookup culture is fun, but what matters most is deep bonds, as you can’t always rely on being physical all the time. Whether it is because of a pandemic, living apart from one another, or being on a competition show which doesn’t allow for sexual engagement, true bonds must be maintained in other ways. The key to developing and/or maintaining the relationships is the ability to be your true self, be open-minded, and let your guard down. This is the perfect time to explore this, while sex isn’t available to complicate things. Build a deeper and stronger meaningful relationship during this pandemic, and this will make the physical even more fulfilling when the time comes.Find out more about the Kaimzz- Relationship app by downloading it from the Google Play or IOS stores.
