Knowledge Sourcing Intelligence announces the publication of a new report titled “Emissions Monitoring Systems Market - Forecasts from 2018 to 2024”.

According to the report, the emissions monitoring market systems is valued at US$3,304.043 million in 2018 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.14% over the forecast period to touch US$5,582.588 million by 2024.Several acts have been passed as a preventive, protective and punitive response by countries to fight against the hazards of emissions and to protect public health. For example- the Clean Air Act (United States) of 1963 is one of the most effective and comprehensive environmental laws ever passed. This law authorized the Environment Protection Agency to establish National Ambient Air Quality to regulate the emissions of air pollutants. Pollution discharge permits have to be obtained in some countries whereas pollution tax is to be paid in others.
As consumers are becoming aware that such emissions have detrimental effects on not only their health but also on their social and economic life, they create duress on the industries, backed by the government regulations, to keep a track of the emissions led by them. Emission compliance rules move in tandem with the rapid industrialization, driving the market for Emission Monitoring Systems.

According to the findings from an Air Quality report published by Green Peace Organisation in 2018, in South Asia, out of the 20 most polluted cities, 18 are in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The United States and Canada with average air quality index globally are facing adverse impacts from wildfires. Massive populations in Africa and South America do not have robust air quality measuring systems.

There are two types of EMS- CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) and PEMS (Predictive Emission Monitoring System). CEMS is costlier than PEMS but only alarms when standards are exceeded. On the other hand, PEMS can also predict future outcomes apart from alarming when emissions exceed.
As per the report, major players in EMS market inter-alia are Rockwell Automation Inc., ABB Ltd., Horiba Ltd., Emerson Electric, Siemens AG, General Electric, etc.
