Well-known archeologist, Harry Coumnas likes to be called as a “Treasure Hunter” as he has dedicated almost forty years of his life in solving the Oak Island puzzle. This beautiful island located on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada has always been in news for having a buried treasure beneath a spot called the Money Pit. In fact it has been the site of the world’s longest-running hunt for lost treasure since several years, but not anymore. The ninety-two years old archeologist, Harry claims to have solved this puzzle.

Harry Coumnas’ late father Mr. Bill Coumnas was also an archeologist and lost his life while hunting for the Money Pit treasure. Before passing away, he shared many critical details with Harry about the treasure, like how the elaborate set of booby traps have protected the Money Pit, etc. He also guided Harry how he could use the remnants of earlier searches to his advantage. Keeping his father’s advice in mind and his own experience in archeology, he started excavating this site in 1976 with a team of hundred drillers. He also used advanced technology and heavy drilling equipment to dig deep into the island. After forty years of hard work and patience, he has finally found the treasure. According to him, this treasure of silver & gold was left behind by the marauding Spaniards during the mid 16th century.
