Gary Shoats is an investment banker by profession from Alberta. He spends most of his time helping and taking care of the elderly. He has a kind and a caring nature as his mother, who made a point that every Sunday her family visited the church and after that they help the elderly in the old-age home. This childhood habit became an integral part in Gary's life and its has been years that he has followed this routine.

Gary goes to this nearby old age home regularly to spend time with people living there. Spending time with them talking to them and listening to their stories gives him pleasure. Although these homes are equipped with facilities as medical care, good meals, regular health checkups, etc for the elderly to make life easier for them, he also teaches yoga to the senior citizens in the old age home as this way he can help them remain active and fit.

Gary says the people in the old age home have a lot of free time that should be used creatively. He encourages them to pursue hobbies like knitting, painting, playing board games, or whatever they like. He is talkative and friendly with everyone and when he is around, all of them get to have a good laugh. He loves to play games with them, watch movies, and spend time with them on festivities so that they do not feel lonely and left out.

Gary Shoats also arranges various functions and events that encourage the elderly to take part in the activities. He keeps planning activities for them as organizing plays where the elderly are made to act and be a part of it. By doing his bit he brings a smile on their face that is worth the time he spends there.
