He believes that travelling to new places brings in a new insight into the way we think and interact with people around us. He feels that visiting a new place means meeting new people, getting to experience a different culture, and trying out a different cuisine. He feels that people who do not travel only see a small part of the world and miss out on so many things that nature has to offer to us.

Gary Shoats loves going for camping and hiking, as with this he gets a chance to be close to the nature. He has been on many camping trips with his children who thoroughly enjoy hiking and camping just as him. He feels that one should go for such trips as these help one to get over the stress of work and spend some quality time alone. While travelling to places around the globe Gary developed a hobby of collecting postcards. He feels postcards are the perfect way to remember a place that he has visited.

Gary Shoats has kept all his postcards neatly in a file that keeps them safe. He goes through them many times to revive old memories of his trips from past dates. Of all the places he has been to he has thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent in Venice. It is filled with old and beautiful architectural monuments that he enjoys watching. He also loves taking the gondola rides in Venice that give the entire city tour.
