Here are some of the frequently asked questions that they provided with answers.
When is The Best Time to Go Rafting in Cagayan de Oro City?
answer: Anytime! The Kagay rafting packages are available throughout the year. Although changes in the season also mean some different conditions on the river. January to June is the dry season. That means trips are normally hot and the river water is low and clear. It is an ideal time for water rafting. July to August is the rainy season. The skies are cloudy with occasional afternoon rain. The river water levels are higher, meaning the rapids will be more challenging.
Is It Required for Us to Know How to Swim If We Want to Go Water Rafting?
answer: Not Really. It’s not a problem if you cannot swim. In fact, many people who come to their rafting adventures do not know how to swim. Besides, Kagay supplies personal floating device and make sure that each person is wearing it at all times during the entire trip. It is a REQUIREMENT.
What is The Minimum Age Requirement For Kids?
answer: It is recommended for children to be six years old and older - That’s for the basic and advance course. But, if your children have experiences in camping, love the outdoor life and are not afraid of the water, they will enjoy the trip with you. Kagay lets you make the final decision. Our requirement is that kids under 12 years old must be accompanied by adults on all the rafting trips.
What Do I Need To Wear During the Trip?
answer: It is HIGHLY recommended to wear light material clothing. Swimwears will do and don’t forget to wear hats, bull caps and your sun block lotion. You can also bring your personal dry bags.
Do We Need To Proceed With the Rafting Trip Even If It Rains?
answer: In most cases, YES. As long as the cold and the winds do not become a possible threat, we will proceed with the trip. The Kagay team said: “Thunderstorms are short-lived and offer a wonderful natural perspective. Sun streaming through the clouds is part of the outdoor experience. Save that extra film for the odd rainbow. It might just be the most memorable whitewater rafting trip of your life.”
Is Kagay Rafting Adventure Dangerous?
answer: River rafting is a thrilling, exciting, wet, wild and unbelievably fun adventure. And, just like with all the other adventure sports, there is an inherent risk involved which contributes to the excitement. It is also one of the reasons people enjoy rafting so much. But, you don’t have to worry because our river guides are trained to minimize and manage risks.
