What our clothes say about us

what do our clothes say about us? And how do we express the reality of what we are? Here are some avenues to explore.

The world we live in seems to be made up of permanent judgments. It would seem, moreover, that this is a new standard: in view of the visual information media that circulate before our eyes at a tremendous speed, we are trained to judge very quickly what we see.

So, the first impression we make is fundamental ! Indeed, the first glance that we have on the other, partly conditions the way in which we will perceive it in the future. And even if there are many errors when it comes to the ideas we can form about our surroundings, preconceptions tend to stick to our skin. Cool, rigid, rich, poor, confident, ambitious, alone, lazy, neat, clumsy ... So many qualifiers that we want to see more or less associated with our person.

So concretely, what do our clothes say about us? And how do we express the reality of what we are? Here are some avenues to explore.

A lack of self-confidence

Watch out for a few points, which may make you appear lacking in self-confidence, or even ambition. Among them, let us note for example that:

Your favorite color is black,
You wear sober clothes in neutral tones,
You wear very few accessories.
You show very little (if at all) your skin.
So, are you well aware of your natural beauty traits, skills and qualities? To remedy these prejudices, nothing like a little color and originality, at least through trendy accessories!

Too much egocentrism

Loving fashion is not bad, on the contrary! However, attracting attention for the wrong reasons doesn't always make sense. Is your outfit appropriate to your personality, to the place, to the occasion? By making the wrong choices, you risk giving off impressions that do not represent you. Looking at you, those around you may see you as lacking in humility, or seeking to be noticed.

So renew your wardrobe according to your desires and real qualities , but also know how to adapt your outfits to the occasions! Your style, while resembling yourself, must allow you to connect with those around you. Not to make it non-existent.

A mom who loves practicality

There are certain traits, combined with each other, that can make you think that you are a sloppy woman. For example :

Your clothes are all the same, available in different colors,
You appropriate a casual style that suits others, but is not for you,
You cut your hair yourself, and rarely,
Your makeup is years old, but you'll use it to the last drop.
Dedicated and eager to belong to a group, you may also seem focused more on others than on yourself. Qualities that can serve you, if you are not careful!

A problem with reality

If your favorite t-shirt is way too loose, you may be seen as a self-conscious person, uncomfortable with reality. The same is true if you like to wear your teenage outfits, or wear tops with the effigy of your favorite sagas. Maybe you don't want to grow taller?

Contrary to what one might think, choosing how to dress each day is therefore of great importance. Depending on the message you want to convey, or what you want to show about your personality, certain uses are to be known. Do not hesitate to call on an image coach, to help you assert who you really are!
