Joshua Ironshell, father of two, intends to remain a member of Parent Teacher Association after more than one year of service.

Joshua Ironshell announced recently to the Parent Teacher Association that he fully intends to continue attending meetings, voting on proposed legislation and participating in volunteer efforts like regular fundraising bake sales during the course of the 2013 to 2014 school year. Though many parents quit participating in the Parent Teacher Association after less than one school year, Joshua Ironshell has been a dedicated member for more than one school year.

"My status as a member of the Parent Teacher Association is a completely logical decision on my part as a caring, active and involved father." Joshua Ironshell explained. Joshua Ironshell went on to elaborate the his sons, Jaydon and Joshua Ironshell enjoy the supportive feeling that they sense from their father, one of the few fathers who is an active member of the Parent Teacher Association. Joshua Ironshell was in great spirits as he explained that his sons, Jaydon and Joshua Ironshell "actually think it is sort of pretty cool that their dad works so hard for fundraising bake sales."

As a member of the Parent Teacher Association for the 2012 to 2013 school year, Joshua Ironshell was involved in the following activities:

1. Joshua Ironshell helped to refurbish the auditorium facilities by repainting the walls and refinishing the floor. 2. Joshua Ironshell provided baked goods or man power for at least four bake sales over the course of the year. These bake sales of which Joshua Ironshell was a part over the course of the year provided necessary monetary support for a wide variety of student extra curricular activities.

3. Joshua Ironshell kept in regular contact with members of the school administration. This open dialogue with administration members was instrumental in the PTA's efficacy.

When asked if he saw a future run for PTA office, Joshua Ironshell declined to comment.
