Jimmy Hardy is a pianist and musical director at First Baptist of Chatham (Chatham, Louisiana). He has been serving this role since 1996. Prior to this, he was the Organist at Messiah Lutheran Church (Monroe, Louisiana). His professional experience also includes working as a general music teacher at Lincoln Elementary from 2007 to 2015. Besides that, he also served as Monroe City Schools Itinerate Band Director at J.S. Clark Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Barkdull Faulk Elementary, and Madison Foster Elementary, all in Monroe, Louisiana.

Jimmy Hardy graduated from Rayville High School, Rayville, Louisiana in 1976 and then enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Music Education at the Northeast Louisiana University. Next, he did his Master of Music at the same University. Jimmy also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (Administration and Supervision) from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. While pursuing his studies, he received scholarships in choir, band, orchestra, and piano accompaniment.

Jimmy Hardy is a pianist and music director with vast experience in the field of music. He has worked as a music teacher and band director in many schools. He was the artist in residence piano teacher at Roark Music Company in Monroe for years before it closed. His experience also includes his work as a music composer for three plays by Dr. George Brian, based on the life and career of the late Governor and Senator Huey Long of Louisiana. Besides being a passionate musician, Jimmy is a true humanitarian who believes in making active efforts to increase the well-being of humankind. He regularly supports social causes through charitable air or donations. He has worked with the Lincoln school district by serving on community health fairs and social education fairs. According to him, contributing to charitable causes is one of the best ways to give back to the community.
