As we thought that the Apple vs. PC argument was becoming old and tired, new arguments have arisen regarding the growing interest in tablet PCs. Three thousand iPads were reportedly sold in the first 80 days after its launch, and technology companies, picking up with this enormous demand, are rushing to make their own versions of the tablet PC.

Experts believe that the iPad's 3G data capabilities that permit the iPad for use almost everywhere, is a main source of its prevalence, and massive amounts of people are turning to tablet PCs as their principal method of media intake, from magazines, books, and TV shows, to online videos and movies. The tablet has also been touted as perfect for sales and information-sharing company, as they interfere less in face-to-face environments than conventional laptops.

Other organizations are entering the pill market, together with Hewlett-Packard, Acer and Google all intending to establish their own versions by the end of 2010. According to technology research firm Gartner analysts, a tablet PC like the iPad isn't a completely suitable substitute for a notebook, but instead, a useful companion device.

Many consumers are also looking into computer rental and notebook leasing in light of all of the controversy and rising market for tablet PCs. Since the technology is still quite new, rental is a good option for consumers that are waiting for the tablet market to further build before deciding which model to purchase. Notebook hire is also a continuing alternative for businesses which may see themselves wanting to update in the future.
