August 20, 2012, India- Personal calling cards, which in decades past have gone out of fashion, are also making a comeback for sure, possibly because of the popularity of business cards. Why not hand new acquaintances your personal calling card, rather than scribble your name and phone number or the email address on a scrap of paper.
On the style of your calling card, first of all one needs to decide. From the simply elegant to the boldly colourful, designs range; also your lifestyle for sure, your choice should match your personality. Second, on your calling card, you need to decide what information to include. Recently people have added their email address as well but traditionally calling card include your name, address, and phone number; and to show more avenues of communication, sometimes their blog or other website address.
Both in what information you include on your calling card and in the people you choose to share your card with as your contact details should not be passed on to somebody evil or non-deserving who disturb you, a word of caution is that to be careful. As you don't want certain people showing up at your doorstep unannounced or, in a worst-case situation, stalking you, you don't necessarily want to share your street address with people you don't know. The more you open yourself up to someone misusing that information, you also need to be careful of identity theft which is the more personal information you share with people you don’t know.
