Medication for acne contains antibiotics, which kill the germs and bacteria, prevent the further formation acne and unclog the skin pores. Medication for acne can be for few days or few weeks, or even for few years depending upon the severity of the acne. But these medications also have some side effects like- skin redness, swelling, soreness, irritation, skin peeling and dry skin. Some of the antibacterial medico’s are- Benzoyl peroxide, keratolytic is very effective particularly in minor and moderate acne problem.
Chemical peeling and Dermabrasion-This method contains the usage of an exfoliate like glycolic acid on the parts which are affected by the disease. Microdermabrasion is the substitute of this method.
Comedones extraction method- It is the sterile elimination of the minor form of acne- black heads and white heads.
Steroid method- it is the fast and easy method of getting rid from acnes. It is drying the acnes through injection with steroids.
Phototherapy method- In this method the ultra violet rays are used for killing Propionibacterium, which is responsible for the excess oil in the skin. But it is not so popular because the UV rays are harmful for skin and it may also cause skin cancer.
Blue Light method- It is the substitute of phototherapy method, and it is best for mild and moderate acne problem
Light therapy method- It is another kind of phototherapy method for curing the acne, it is used for the treatment of moderate to severe acne. This acne treatment is very effective and eliminates the acne problem permanently.
