27th September 2011 - Golf is a simple yet engaging ball game. A stick, a ball, a hole is all you need to enjoy this luxurious game. Just a few equipments that you need and it have much less complications and yet it is so much fun to play.
Played, mostly by the gentlemen this has been one of the few contributions 19 century has provided us with. With the word golf you can picture in your mind - all those lush green fields, bright sunshine, men, who are always clad in semi-formals, in their tees’ and trousers. Measuring their shots, and then quite celebrations once they get their hole. It is certainly a gentleman’s game. However, as always, it is not as easy as it looks. It is not like you can put the small ball into the hole in the ground using anything. You need proper gear for that, the proper Golf Equipment.
These special equipments, or a kit, usually consist of clubs, balls, ball markers, tees, club head covers, bag-to carry, and finally a cart to move around the field. The ball is normally manufactured in two, three and four layers respectively. The most important piece of the set is clubs. Woods irons and putters constitute this section. Woods are generally used for the long shots, first shots from teen. Irons provide you much more precision with loft. And putters are mainly used to keep the ball stuck to the ground, because it gives much less flight. Ordinarily it is used to out the ball. Hybrid clubs are also used these days, which have combined characteristics of woods and irons.
They are used by those golfers who normally have trouble controlling the ball when its air borne. The proper selection of the clubs are done by reviewing many specifics, and even with the same set of factors given, the clubs would change from individual to individual. It’s more or less, dependent on the person itself. Tees are used when the ball is to be kept little above ground level, the beginning shot. More over at a time, a player is only allowed to carry fourteen clubs with him at a time.
