19th December 2011 - Acai tree is one of the most prominent trees found in South American continent. Technically speaking it is a palm tree.
Most of the times, they show a slender growth, towering up to the heights of 15-20 meters. Their extensions or branches are around 3-5 meters long and are flexible and strong.
Also they grow a fruit which is known as Acai Berry which has some really good medicinal uses.
The fruit is around 25 millimeters in diameter and has the color of black current grape. The fruits are first collected and crushed to form a semi solid pulp. This pulp is then subjected to filtration and the filtered liquid hence obtained is used in the various different ways.
