Surrey, United Kingdom (28th June 2012) - Altius Consulting, a leading Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management consultancy based in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and the United States, will kick off a three part webinar series in June 2012 discussing improved Process Management specifically relating to the oil, gas and energy industry.

The complimentary online event will begin on June 27th, and continues into August.

In order to meet the needs of an evolving economy and increasing energy demands, companies need to stay competitive by obtaining business insights, and the ability to use the right information at the right time. In addition, they must always be adjusting because new and important trends are regularly changing the way software is developed and deployed. Some of these new trends include big data (large data sets), tools moving into the hands of end users, connecting business and technology, and data and analytics in the cloud.

Phillips will begin by discussing how to effectively manage Year End Planning and Long Term Planning (LTP). Now more than ever, energy organizations require a trusted, cost-effective and scalable planning process that offers confidence, breakthrough insights and flexible cloud based offerings. Attendees will learn how Altius’ FlexMI™ technology, powered by Microsoft SQL Server, has helped major Oil and Gas companies successfully plan in the short term (1-2 years) as well as the long term (50 to 75 years) to ensure they are prepared for future energy challenges. Both planning processes support effective decision making and a clearer direction aligning companies to stay ahead of the competition.

The second webinar, scheduled for late July, will discuss how to create, manage and track Authorization for Expenditure’s (AFE’s) with ease. Senior Consultant Michael Welch will demonstrate a proven system that allows the capture of AFE data, a workflow approval process and reporting, to track and approve expenditures faster than ever before.

The Process Management in Energy Webinar series will conclude in August, covering a more effective vendor pricing and bid management process. Procurement Analysts will learn an improved process that evaluates information in hours rather than days and provides better control, governance and transparency.
