As of 2016, Louisiana resident Joe Palermo of Lake Charles has spent fifty-three years as a successful businessman. While he has been an integral part of many local and out of state companies, he has maintained his position as President of Palermo Realty Development since 1963.

Mr. Palermo's success began with a solid education and training in the military. After graduating from Sulphur High School in Southwest Louisiana, he joined the United States Army. During his three years of service, he was promoted to the rank of SP-4, or fourth level Specialist, before being honorably discharged in 1969. That year, he decided to further his education by attending the McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1973.

Since the time of his military service, Joe Palermo Lake Charles has held numerous and lengthy executive positions. His longest running position, that of Palermo Realty Development's President, is a role he accepted in 1963. To this day, he serves the company well and helps to promote prosperity through his business and real estate knowledge.

From 1965 until 1999, Mr. Palermo also served as the President of the Palermo Construction Company in Sulphur, Louisiana. His company conducted the development of many subdivisions and commercial properties in the region. They also specialized in the building of single-family homes.

Adding to his prowess in the real estate investment field, Mr. Palermo created the Palvest Inc. Company in 1967. For the last forty-nine years, Palvest has helped others to invest in commercial and residential real estate throughout Louisiana and Texas.

Another successful venture to his credit is the company Jackpot Novelty Inc. out of Lake Charles. As the President of this company that has been in operation since 1991, Mr. Palermo has facilitated the development of the video gaming industry in Southwest Louisiana for twenty-five years.

Rounding out his exceptional real estate and investment career, Joe Palermo of Lake Charles has also been the President of the Gulf Coast AutoPlex company as well as a Co-Owner of Bad Boy Enterprises out of Natchez, Mississippi.
