December 26, 2014: The highly praised US independent writer and director Joe Ciminera is now rolling the cameras on a new horror movie that is going to be released early 2015. He is pleased to announce the release of his new suspenseful horror movie called "Venial", starring Tiffany Browne Tavarez, John Basedow, Frank Riano, Robert Arensan and James Sfferrazza. The inspiration of the film originates from the stories of the Bible. Joe does not use scripts at all, he simply take the verses and make stories out of them. The key factor of Venial is its location where he sits for a few hours and creates the story in his head. Joe Ciminera is also well known for his half hour short films called, "Tales from the Dark" a mixture of American Anthology Twist's.

The story of Venial is about a women Claire Gundersmith played by Tiffany Browne Tavarez who is a devoted Christian mother lives with her three small children in a remote early American House, immediate after effects of World War II. She is given the news of her husband’s death in the war played by John Basedow and thus loses her complete faith on God. Her three children and the three priests played by Frank Riano, Robert Arensan and James Sfferrazza make a routine visit to Claire to check up on her. Unusual things started to happen with Claire which she cannot explain. Those things coincide with several strange activities, and Claire begins to fear that they are not alone in the house. The priest proceeds to purify the house of any evil by doing some rituals. While performing the ritual, one of the priest spot a woman floating over the hallway which is the soul of his dead sister. As the time passes the house begins to plays on the evil amusement tune. Thoughts of awakenings, past and present to the dark evil secrets of everyone's past arise. The door closes in hell leaving behind the family of four inside of it and the evil will paint its symphony masterpiece. The whole movie is full of suspenseful horror.

This newest feature film is completely from the mind of Joe Ciminera without any full written script. The movie will be distributed through several online outlets. Some of his earlier writing credits include the movies like Purification, Acedia and 6 Minutes of Death for which he has several awards.
