Dr. Hutta was born and raised in the Columbus area and graduated with honors from the Ohio State College of Biological Sciences and the Ohio State College of Dentistry. He then completed a three-year residency program specializing in orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Center, University of Rochester School of Medicine. He has been practicing orthodontics since 1992 and currently manages James T. Hutta, DDS Orthodontics near Westerville Ohio.

Hutta is a native of Columbus and a graduate of Ohio State College of Biological Sciences with his undergraduate degree and Ohio State College of Dentistry where he received his dental degree. He is also a current member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, International College of Dentists, and also serves on the Board of Directors on the Columbus Dental Society.
