Prior to hurricane Sandy, Andrew Lesnak lived a highly successful and active lifestyle. He lived in a beautiful waterfront home. However, immediately after the hurricane, he had fallen into a depressive state, as the reality of his situation became evident. Being the survivor of hurricane Sandy, Andrew volunteered, as a counselor, to address the mental and physical health issues of the people affected by Sandy. The mental health therapy focuses on the effects of this disaster, which include general distress, anxiety and other psychiatric disorders.

Andrew Lesnak came forward to help other victims, by volunteering his time and money through the Red Cross. By holding a strong bond with the victims of Sandy, Andrew has found his outreach to be extremely healthy and therapeutic for himself.

Soon after the disaster, Andrew was introduced to various mental health facilities that were filled with people suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues, and had been receiving daily counseling. He made the best use of his positive experiences to help victims on a hands-on approach on wellness.

Offering his vision of hope to those in despair, Andrew Lesnak started The Spero Advocacy Group which has now become a renowned force in the State of New Jersey, in the field of mental health and “life coaching”. The motto of this organization is “While I Breathe, I Hope”. Through this organization, he helps victims restore their financial affairs, so that the rebuilding of their homes becomes a reality, and no longer a hopeless dream.
