Courtney recently launched a new concept in flower giving with Daily Blooms. Daily Blooms is changing the way we buy flowers by offering affordable, simple and beautiful bouquets for just $30 including delivery. The secret to her success is that she creates one bouquet style each day from locally grown flowers which she posts on her website - http://www.dailyblooms.com.au.

Earlier this month, Courtney officially launched Daily Blooms with a small event at her warehouse in Melbourne. Addressing a gathering, she spoke at length about her passion for flowers and how her service is changing the way people buy flowers. “My bouquets are always fresh. I source the flowers each morning from local growers and create one beautiful but simple daily bouquet.” Courtney selects the Daily Blooms based on the season, current trends and whatever sparks excitement in her imagination. Through Courtney’s online store, she hopes to make flower buying easier and more accessible, “flowers should be enjoyed regularly and not confined to special occasions”.

There has been a growing trend in Australia (particularly in supermarkets) to import flowers from Asia, Africa and South America. They are picture perfect however due to the time spent in refrigeration the lifespan of these flowers is significantly shortened by the time they are on display in a store. Growing up on a farm instilled a passion for local produce and Courtney uses this passion to select the best blooms from local growers. “It is fantastic to talk to the farmers and hear their thoughts on what is growing well and what flowers are at their peak”.

Daily Blooms not only focuses on locally grown blooms but also the way in which they are presented. The Daily Bouquet is wrapped in beautiful natural hessian which is simple, understated and draws attention to the natural beauty of the flowers. Courtney’s style is to “create organic free flowing bouquets that are a little bit rustic but fit with the contemporary style of today”. Courtney wants the flowers to be the standout of the show – not the cellophane and coloured ribbons that so often mask flagging flowers.

Courtney’s passion for flowers is clear and her enthusiasm for beautiful blooms seems to be contagious. “From the fantastic response I have had so far it seems as though Melbourne was in need of an affordable and easy florist for daily bouquets Melbourne”.

About www.dailyblooms.com.au: Courtney is a Melbourne-based florist. She moved away from the family farm to Melbourne to pursue a career in finance but after years of dreaming about flowers and studying floristry decided to follow her passion and open an online florist Melbourne.
