There was a meeting held comprising of the Minster for Health Chris Fearne, Vital Global Healthcare COO Eric Buehrens and the formidable MMSA. The future of Maltese Healthcare was the main topic of discussion, and there was indeed much to ponder upon. Questions were raised and topics discussed were put to motion; but what would make the health sector unconditionally privatized? Would Barts Medical students benefit from various clinical rotations? How can we guarantee optimal patient care? Well, answers were given, and priorities were set.
When the aforementioned are taken into consideration, the consolidated methods used for patient treatment are deemed the most important. In reality, these methods mark the majorly technical component of the healthcare system that was formed ever so adequately by the Vital Global Healthcare peeps. Justified by the past aesthetics of VGH, the Minister for Health assured concerned parties that the Primary Healthcare operation will be solely handled and catered by the government; Vital Global Healthcare will manage the on-site operations with the tentative supervision of the government, no questions asked. Interested parties willing to lend/offer financial and labor assistance will be welcome as a potential right hand of the government.
The Minister then mentioned that a number of key projects undertaken for future implementations revolve around a potential healthcare facility at Mater Dei campus. Among these projects are the Mother and Child Hospital, Out Patients Block and Mental Health Facility. To help commemorate the aforementioned projects, these new facilities will be managed under the extreme supervision and guidance of the Mater Dei Campus. There is no doubt agreeing to the fact that the most recently elected board of Directors for Mental Health is working on a dignified plan to supervise the mental health departments within institutions of Malta.
Later in the meeting, officials of Vital Global Healthcare were interviewed with a successive flow of questions regarding the management of Karen Grech, St. Luke’s and Gozo General Hospitals. The MMSA voiced the concerns of thousands with regards to the continual development of attachment between the medical students of University Malta and Karen Grech. The Minister for Health and VGH officials responded that the current attachments will remain unhinged and other medical requirements will also be fulfilled simultaneously. How’s that for a major turnaround? The Vitals are genuinely rocking their statistics, and there is little to nothing negative about the proceedings undertaken by them!
