The auction commenced from 6 p.m., together with bidding moving at the brisk pace. The auction saw competitive bidding across all categories using notable interest in your selection of mid-century furniture and the choice of rare and custom-made Edward Wormley for Dunbar pieces, that achieved the strongest sales. The record lots of this sale has been #172, a pair of rare Ed Wormley upholstered wingback lounge chairs, design 6016, circa 1958. Made by Dunbar, the chair feature a mahogany frame using tufted upholstered cushions along with cane wingbacks. The chair were estimated from $6,000-$8,000, but lively putting in a bid drove the income price to $9,000 along with buyer’s premium. Other notable Wormley tons sold include #173, a custom-made mahogany fall-front Superstructure, which sold pertaining to $5,280 and lot # 167, a Wormely developed console table regarding $1,920.
