How should you wash delicate laundry?

If hand washing is expressly required on the textile care symbol of the delicate garment, you should never take the risk of washing a washing machine. If this is not explicitly required, you can wash your delicates in the washing machine. However, you should use only the fine wash cycle.

If your machine does not have this program, you can also use the "Easy Care" wash cycle. It must be paid attention to a low washing temperature.

When washing the machine, it is important to always put clothes of the same color together in the drum as the material tends to discolor. Also, always a mild detergent or a liquid detergent should be added to ensure gentle cleaning.

Special attention should be paid to these sensitive substances:

Straight clothes made of wool are extremely sensitive and should, therefore, be washed as seldom as possible and only by hand if possible. The machine can only be used to wash garments that have been marked accordingly.

Modern washing machines have a gentle, shorthand wash cycle for this purpose. In the normal fine wash, wool does not mate very often. Finally, wool should always be washed and rinsed at a constant temperature to avoid felting. After washing, do not spin or wring wool. Wool should only be gently pressed, wrapped in a terry towel and dried lying flat. The dryer is taboo.

Washing silk - care-intensive delicates:

Silk is a very delicate fabric that should always be washed by hand with a mild, liquid mild detergent. Silk becomes brittle due to alkaline lye. Also, silk must never be washed hot. Many silk garments are advised by experts to clean the items and not wash them themselves.

Washing tights - care of a special garment:

As suggested by liox cleaners & laundry, tights should always be washed with liquid mild detergent or gentle soapy water. In the washing machine, you should rather not give you're fine tights, because the danger of running lines and felting is extremely high. If fine tights are to be washed in a fine cycle or a wool cycle, then you must put them in a pillowcase that will be well-shot.
