Toba Remedies Introduces “Pinky Promise” Organic Hand Cream

Long Island, New York (August 5, 2015) Toba Remedies is introducing a new, organic hand creams called Pinky Promise. Available in lavender mint or pink grapefruit, this all natural, and personal-care product is the latest from the Long Island based firm, led by Dr. Tara O’Brien Adkins. Known simply as ‘Dr. Tara’, a passion for fitness and chemical free living punctuate her practice and approach to life. Formulating a product that offered the practical benefits people seek in a hand cream without the burden of synthetic chemicals was a goal she achieved with ‘Pinky Promise’.

Responding To Patient Requests
As a chiropractor with a vigorous practice, Dr. Tara’s patients were looking for a way to treat dry skin and psoriasis at the same time she was looking for a follow-up product for Sore Point. “Dry winter air whether from the outside or from forced air furnaces combined with a lot of hand washing during the cold and flu season lead to more than just chapped or dry hands,” Dr. Tara said. “Hands so dry they bleed are not uncommon. Nails and cuticles also suffer. So the introduction of a hand cream was a logical next step.” While Pinky Promise is not a cure, it is definitely an excellent way to treat skin diseases like psoriasis.

What’s In A Name?
All of the Toba Remedies product names are inspirational. Dr. Tara chose the name ‘Pinky Promise’ based on values like friendship and trust. Customers rely on the promise that these products are organic, but there was more to it than that alone. A life long friendship she developed on the school bus was the other. “I was transitioning from private school to public school,” Dr. Tara said. “It was my first day on the school bus and I was scared because I had never been to public school and did not know anyone.” Like anyone in a new place a bit of reassurance would be very welcome.

“The girl who sat next to me that day was so friendly; she made me feel a lot better. We are still friends to this day. It was that connection and depth of commitment I had in mind when choosing the name for the hand cream. I hope others will connect with it the way ______ and I did on the bus that morning.”

Go Organic
While respecting the environment is a good reason to embrace organic products, people with sensitive skin are less likely to have a negative reaction to them compared to those manufactured with synthetic chemicals. Natural products are also thought to work better than the other types, as less is needed to achieve the desired results and they offer better, overall skin health.
