Jay Pritzker Academy is proud to announce that it will continue to uphold the highest of educational standards for its students and staff in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The school bases its curriculum and teaching on the example of the Providence St. Mel School in Chicago, Illinois, the base used for the international Asian school. This school has come from a broken and struggling institution to a pillar of urban education. Its students excel in scores and many continue their education at some of the countries’ most prestigious schools, going on to make their roots in Chicago proud with their many accomplished and diverse academic achievements and pursuits.

For the Jay Pritzker Academy, the choice was clear to follow Providence as a role model. The Siem Reap location in Cambodia is one facing similar troubles as Chicago was in the late 1960s and 1970s. Through a concerted and organized effort, the Jay Pritzker Academy has been able to improve the education of the area immensely and is continuing to see dramatic positive results each year.

One of the primary factors involved in helping the school uphold its high standards for staff and students is the fact that Jeanette DiBella serves as the Jay Pritzker Academy's Chef Educational Officer. She is also currently serves as the principal of Providence St. Mel School.

By adopting and modifying the Providence model to fit the needs of Cambodian students, Jeanette and the staff at the Jay Pritzker Academy know that they will continue to cultivate success.
