The chemical Para Phenylenediamine Sulphate (Chemical Name: 1,4-Benzenediamine Sulphate; 1,4-Diaminobenzene Sulphate), also known as PPD is one of the low toxic natured Diamine that is used in hair dyes. It is also used in textile dyes, pigments, one of the substances in configuring polymers and also for dying furs. 2 Nitro p-Phenylenediamine (Chemical Name : 1,4-Diamino-2 nitrobenzene, 2-Nitro-1, 4-phenylenediamine , 2-Nitro-1, 4-diaminobenzene) is slightly greenish-red in colour. It is often used in personal care as well cosmetic products. Since it is an organic chemical, it is also used in the creation of semi-permanent and permanent hair colouring.

4-Nitro-m-Phenylenediamine (Chemical Name: 1,3-Diamino-4 nitrobenzene, 4-Nitro-1, 3-phenylenediamine, 4-Nitro-1, 3-diaminobenzene) is a crystalline yellow coloured substance which is widely used the preparation of different polymers. These include epoxy resins and aramid fibres. These are also used as an accelerator to adhesive resins as well as a substance to dye textile and leather.

4-Nitro-o-Phenylene Diamine (Chemical Name: 1,2-Diamino-4 nitrobenzene, 4-Nitro-1,2-phenylenediamine, 2-Amino-4-nitroaniline, p-Nitro-o-phenylenediamine, 4-Nitro-1,2-diaminobenzene) is a reddish orange compound that is used primarily in the cosmetic industry. It is mostly used to give tints and colours the hair. However the colour created, depends on the other chemical that s mixed with it. You can find these compounds in many shampoos due to their effect on the hair.

2:5 Di Amino Toluene Sulfate (Chemical Name : 1,4-Benzenediamine, 2-methyl- Sulfate, 2,5-Diaminotoluene sulfate, 2-Methyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate) is a compound whose colour varies from white to grey and looks powdered in nature. It is prepared by the process of electrolytic reduction and on many occasions is used as a substitute for phenylenediamine in the case of parlour use dyes. This chemical is mostly to produce the different shades of brown and black hair dyes. The product is also used to dye indicators, biological stains and many more.

First prepared in the year 1864, resorcinol (Chemical Name: 1,3-Dihydroxybenzene, 3-Hydroxyphenol, 1,3-Benzenediol m-Phenylenediol) has come a long way since then. It looks like subtle pink flakes. There are widespread uses of the product in both medical and chemical industry. Medically it used as a disinfectant or an antiseptic. Dermatological ointment carries a certain percentage of the product and so does certain dandruff repair shampoo. Chemically it is used as plasticizers as well as UV absorbers for resins.

5-amino ortho cresol (PAOC) (Chemical Name : 4-Amino-2-hydroxytoluene (INCI), 5-amino-2-methylphenol (IUPAC), 5-amino-2-methyl-Phenol (CA INDEX NAME, 9CI)) is a brownish crystalline powder. The colour can sometimes be beige also. The compound though is soluble with organic solvents, with water it remains insoluble. It is primarily used the manufacturing process of the commercial hair dye.

One of the unique compounds whose colour varies from white and grey to brown, 1 Phenyl 3 Methyl Pyrazolone (Chemical Name : 2,4-dihydro-5-methyl-2-phenyl, 3-methyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone) is extensively used in the dye industry as well the medical industry.
