Gloria James-Civetta & Co (“GJC Law”), is a well-established law firm based in Singapore.

The man, a partner of a transport company bribed an employee of the Society for the Physically Disabled for his help in clinching a transport service contract. He was sentenced to a fine of $23,000 yesterday. He could have been fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed for up to five years on each bribery charge.

13 other charges were taken into account for sentencing.

The man required the employee’s help to win the contract and to provide him with information on the amounts bid by competitors. The employee even enabled him to resubmit an amended quotation with a slightly higher revised amount.

The man’s Criminal Lawyer, Ms Gloria James, said in her mitigation plea that her client’s company was still providing transportation to the society. The contract with the society had been renewed periodically. SOURCE: https://www.gjclaw.com.sg/press/man-paid-bribe-to-win-transport-deal/
