1 in 5 SMEs Miss Out on New Business Opportunities because of Lack of Finance

Recent studies have revealed that 19% of UK small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) have missed out on numerous business opportunities in the past few months merely because of lack of funds.

Missed business opportunities are costing the country’s SMEs an average of £77,651 a year.
Recent studies have revealed that 19% of UK small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) have missed out on numerous business opportunities in the past few months merely because of lack of funds.
Thousands of business owners all across the nation took part in the survey, which found that financial ramifications of missed business opportunities have been significant and on average UK companies are losing revenue worth £77,651 per year.
Businesses with 50 to 249 employees have been worst hit, with 32% saying that they’ve been severely affected due to having no access to finances they require. This has amounted to an impact on revenue of around £112,508 per firm over the past few years.
This contrasts with more than 28% of small business (those with 10 to 49 employees) missing new opportunities, 15% of micro business (
