Hundreds of babies and small children are really suffering in Bangkok. The Pakkred orphanage offers refuge to more than 300 of such children. The beauty is that there are supporters who are there to ensure that this worthy cause gets support. A well-wisher in the name of James Frazer-Mann is among the people who have come to offer humanitarian aid. This Welsh traveler supported the orphanage by bringing supplies to the children and also expose their sufferings to the world.

People in the developed countries do not understand the struggles undergone by others in the underdeveloped countries. Amongst the few ones who understand the situation of people in the underdeveloped countries is James Frazer-Mann. During his visit to the orphanage, he brought medical supplies and other important resources the children may need. His trip was partially an educational one trying to learn more about the “Forgotten Babies of Thailand”. In the orphanage, he found more than 300 children who are longing for real love. On his return to Wales, James opened a fund drive that would help raise funds for these young children.

Frazer-Mann says that a majority of children in the orphanage are brought in shortly after birth; a situation he blames on high poverty levels in the surrounding villages. His fund drive allows people to contribute anything, no matter how small, to help save the situation in the orphanage. His efforts are aimed at making known the plights of these children to the world.

There is a Facebook page owned by the orphanage showing the many successful cases of adoptions that have taken place from people all over the world. Many children adopted from the Pakkred orphanage have become successful adults living a happy life. Any adoption is a counted as having saved a child’s life.

The orphanage is run by the Thai Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Seven buildings house all the children. The setup of the orphanage allows for external donations, which include food, medical supplies, clothing, and toys among many other things a donor may wish to donate.

Jamie Frazer-Mann has also set up a funding page here.

If you are interested, you can read the inspirational reviews about the orphanage to get inspiration to do something.

One such review is from Deborah Major who wrote on the official Facebook page of the orphanage about her adoption of a 2-year-old daughter from Pakkred about 24 years ago. The once a young girl has now grown to become a woman making her mother very proud. Deborah also adopted another daughter about 28 years ago from elsewhere in Bangkok.
