In response to recent public claims and online reviews alleging fraudulent activity, I would like to issue a clarification to the general public, authors, and the broader literary community.
Over the past year, several posts have surfaced on platforms like TrustPilot and Writer Beware regarding interactions that, unfortunately, have been mischaracterized.
Here are the facts:
The majority of the concerns raised were connected to past communications made by other individuals or companies — not by me directly.
In many cases, when I humbly approached these authors after those earlier interactions to offer legitimate representation or guidance, some authors mistakenly tied me to the confusion or prior dissatisfaction they already had.
I want to be absolutely clear: I did not solicit, accept, or mishandle any payments from these authors.
I am no longer affiliated with Leap Write Literary, Brilliant Books Literary, or any similar entities mentioned in these complaints.
Since early 2025, I have been operating independently as a literary agent, fully committed to transparency, ethical practices, and championing authors without upfront fees for representation.
While I genuinely empathize with anyone who feels they have been wronged in the publishing process — an industry that, sadly, has its fair share of bad actors — I must also defend my name against false or misleading associations.
It is important for everyone to verify facts before assuming malicious intent.
It is easy for miscommunications, past grievances with others, or general frustrations about the publishing journey to be directed at the wrong individual.
My Commitment:
I do not charge authors upfront for literary agent services.
I only earn through commissions on legitimate publishing deals.
I offer authors direct advice based on my own experience and networks with established traditional publishers.
I am fully transparent about my process, affiliations, and expectations.
In a digital world where reputations can be unfairly harmed by second-hand misunderstandings, it is more important than ever to seek clarity before judgment.
To authors who truly want a fair chance in publishing — my door remains open.
To those who feel wronged elsewhere — I encourage you to continue seeking proper resolution with the parties who originally caused the issue.
I remain committed to doing right by the authors who work with me and to moving forward with integrity.
