Successfully it has gained the feel and essence of the top model Phasemation, at an extremely attractive price point. The Phasemation PP-200 is based on the PP-2000 range-topper and “contains its essence,” as said by the company blurb. It has been structured around a neodymium magnetic circuit and the circuit is positioned in a body shape to control vibration so that it can “achieves a direct sound quality”.

Phasemation pp 200 is featured with a boron cantilever and in the market, it's hard to find a cartridge featured with the compound of boron and aluminium specially designed for the critical task of transmitting the vibrations that the stylus reads to the coils and is placed inside the magnetic field within the cartridge. The moving coil comes with an unusually low output impedance of four Ohms,
so it theoretically requires a phono stage with a 40 Ohm load and it is far lower compared to what you find on any active amplifier. A step-up transformer from the Phasemation catalogue (they make four models) is capable presumably to deliver the best outcome.
