FLAGS OF THE FALLEN - FLAG PRESENTATION

Posted December 9, 2022 by jagomez09

On Friday December 16, 2022, Board Members from Flags of the Fallen will present two custom, handmade wooden flags to the families of fallen Cobb County Sheriff’s Deputies Marshall Samuel Ervin, Jr., and Johnathan Randall Koleski.

Deputies Ervin and Koleski’s End of Watch was September 8, 2022. The Deputies were taking a suspect into custody when another individual in the domicile confronted the Deputies with a firearm. The individual fired at the Deputies, striking them, and inflicting fatal wounds.

Deputy Ervin served 10 years with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and is survived by his wife, Jodi, and his daughters, Mayleigh and Kourtlee.

Deputy Koleski was a United States Army veteran and was with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Amy.

While it is done with a heavy heart, Flags of the Fallen is honored to present flags to the members of these brave Deputies families.

Flags of the Fallen is forever grateful for their service to their community and their families. May their memories live on forever in our hearts, minds, and these flags.
