Chicagoland residents now have a quick, hassle-free way to get their dirty dishes cleaned, following the launch of on-demand dishwashing service by new start-up- Sudsy.

Launching on May 7, 2015, Sudsy will be the latest company to join Chicago's growing list of on-demand services. Described as the “Uber for dishwashing”, Sudsy takes the hassle and stress out of having to deal with piles of dirty dishes and leaves busy householders with hours of extra time.

A recent study indicated that the average person spends 5.5 hours washing dishes per week. That comes to 22 hours per month and almost 12 full days per year. With Sudsy, clean dishes are just a click away for individuals who register on their website. Once registered, a request may be submitted in as quickly as a second, and with the press of a button, a Sudsy team member (or “dish hero” will arrive at your door within an hour. All this, for only $29.

All team members go through a rigorous interview process, including background checks and a full week of training. Most importantly though, each team member or “dish hero” is instructed to meticulously hand wash all dishes, resulting in not just a more clean and thorough alternative to dumping everything in your dishwasher, but also presenting a much 'greener' option as well. In addition, the company insists that your dishes will actually last longer as well because hand washing reduces the kind of "wear and tear" that leads to cracks, chipping, and discoloration, thus saving you the distress of faded fine china or simply the chipping of your favorite college coffee mug.

Like many householders, Founder and CEO of Sudsy, Katie Trepelkin hated the mundane task of washing dishes. Commenting on the decision to launch this service, she said: "I fell in love with the idea of on demand services a couple years ago. Being able to essentially control your life using just your phone inspired me to create a solution for something we all need; our dishes washed, and make it easier and more accessible for people."

Apart from the dishwashing service, Sudsy also offers a weekly or monthly "Switch a Dish" option, which also makes life easier for customers. Using this service, customers are able to choose a brand new set of dishes, utensils, silverware and cookware from the company's website which are delivered to them weekly or monthly based on their subscription and preferences. The dishes and cookware are then picked up once a week or once a month and replaced with a new set. Although this service is more costly, it's also a revolutionary concept that appeals to more affluent consumers, as it requires no maintenance. And of course, there’s also the thrill of receiving brand new dishes and cookware every week that has many excited to try the service.

For now, Sudsy is only available to residents in the Chicagoland area. However, plans are afoot to expand its reach into cities like New York, Miami, Dallas and Denver by the end of 2015. For further information or to request Sudsy's on-demand dishwashing service, visit: http://www.sudsy.io
