However, on checking we found that this was a very expensive proposition and at times had adverse side effects. The other option was to opt for a wig- but it didn’t seem practical and neither did it feel natural wearing one.

We visited various salons that offered hair extensions. It seemed to be an answer to our problem. So “H” bought one set of hair extensions from this salon and tried it on. It looked great in it’s packaging but the hair that she purchased was very thin, looked synthetic and fake. So we weren’t that satisfied. On further research we found that “human hair extensions” were available too. They were made from real human hair that were donated at Indian temples as a sacrifice during the pilgrimage and eventually used to make extensions and wigs. This was exactly what we were looking for. We also realized that this had huge potential as a business too. “It is better to be late than to arrive ugly”.

We became our very own first customers and explored the market trying all different styles- from curly, straight to wavy. These varieties of extensions allowed us to have a different look every few days without much effort. The compliments that we got only boosted our morale. Satisfied by our experience and that of our friends who tried it, we decided to form our own company, “Hair studioZ”.

At Hair studioZ, our endeavor has been to produce and offer extensions that are easy to put and at the same time, give you feel of real hair.
