Pedram Zohrevand is an experienced professional who is presently working as the Principal Structural Engineer at CES4. He is responsible for conducting and managing all structural engineering projects, such as rehabilitation of different residential and commercial buildings, seismic retrofit, including assessment, and design.
Pedram has also worked actively as an engineering scholar in multiple research and development projects over the last decade, including:
Application of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in seismic resistant structures, and developing design guidelines for bridge structures made of UHPC
Developing design guidelines for innovative hybrid Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) and Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) bridge substructure systems
Developing sustainable light-weight bridge deck systems as alternatives to steel grid bridge decks
Developing a novel steel-free column system using FRP tube and UHPC.
Studying the behavior of confined UHPC and developing a confinement model for UHPC materials for the first time.
Studying the efficiency of externally applied Carbon FRP stirrups for retrofit and rehabilitation of slab-column connections
Pedram has secured several research grants, including:
Use of FRP Composite Cables for Post-Tensioning Applications,” Florida Department of Transportation, $248,000
Innovative Modular High Performance Lightweight Decks for Accelerated Bridge Construction, National Center for Transportation Systems Productivity and Management (NCTSPM), $180,000
In addition to this Pedram Zohrevand published more than 20 scholarly papers in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals with more than 100 citations.
