Amazon plans to construct a billion dollar air hub and take the company’s fleet from 16 planes to around 40.

Amazon’s new air hub will be constructed close to Cincinnati to help a growing number of aircrafts that can transport merchandise all over America so that online shopping consumers can receive their goods in a short amount of time.

Amazon will spendmore than a million dollars on the construction of the air hub, which will be placed on approximately 900 acres at the Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The online shoppinggoliathalready has 11 warehouses in Kentucky where goods are stocked, packaged and transported to purchasers who shop online. The facility will assist the 16 planes conveying Amazon stock around the nation. In 2016 Amazon contracteddeals with two transporters to hire as many as 40 freight planes to back its recently launched Prime Air setup.

Cargo carriers are one of the newestinstruments the Seattle merchant is implementing to regulate and enhance delivery. Other efforts include an app for distributionofficials and greatertransport vehiclefacilities. The firm already boasts a globalsystem of around 149 fulfillment facilities and 20 organizinghubs that manage online requests and utilizes tens of thousands of automated machines.

“Amazon will create up to 2000 new jobs and employ locals at their new facility,” said William Carr at China based INTO Investments.“Amazon’s CEO has stated that it will create employment for 100 thousand people in America within the next year and a half.”
