Addressing Human Rights of Black Children In The United States

Posted June 30, 2024 by info093

The poor general state of African American physical, psychological and social health demands a comprehensive response from researchers, health practitioners, policy-makers and the community.

The Dallas Cognitive Institute understands African-American families torn apart by foster care and generational slavery. The United States and its Congress have long failed to provide federal funding for reconstruction, and they have failed to redirect federal and state funds to the Office of the Ombudsman, which oversees the Department of Family Services, to challenge Family Services on its own policies. According to the London School of Economics and Political Science, there is a critical connection between American slavery and the African-American experience in America. Our experience is to protect African-American families through reunification efforts. The community has failed to bridge the gap, and the United States continues to encourage the disproportionate removal of black families. According to the American Bar Association:
**Black children in the United States experience disproportionate involvement in the child welfare system, with higher rates of investigation, removal from their parents, and termination of parental rights compared to white children.
**Black children in foster care are moved more frequently, receive fewer appropriate services, and are less likely to be reunited with their families compared to white children.
**Federal laws, such as the CAPTA and mandated reporting requirements, contribute to racial discrimination and unequal outcomes in the child welfare system.
**The United Nations’ CERD expressed concern about racial discrimination in the U.S. child welfare system and recommended amending or repealing laws and policies that disproportionately affect families of racial and ethnic minorities.

About the Cognitive Institute of Dallas
is the Cognitive Institute of Dallas, putting healthy families first (WHFF Broadcast & Media). Given the new revelations about disproportionality (i.e., certain racial or cultural groups appearing more or less than their percentage in the population) and child removals without the possibility of recovery, our job is to provide relief to families and families through recovery. [Parents we give you the opportunity to share their stories.] Disproportionality is defined as "the over- or under-representation of a racial or ethnic group in the total population."
