E Instruments, a gas analyser manufacturing company, has upgraded its E8500 device to be able to measure up to 50% of carbon dioxide (CO2) in combustion processes.

Using an NDIR gas sensor, the new E8500 PLUS is a complete portable tool for US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliance level emissions monitoring and testing. The instrument has been designed for regulatory and maintenance use in various combustion applications.

The upgraded device also includes updated software with automatic data-logging, and internal thermoelectric chiller with automatic condensate removal and a new sample conditioning system for low nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) analysis.

The E8500 PLUS also allows connection for up to nine gas sensors and a new PID VOC sensor option.
