MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Rotational Moulding is a method to manufacture different shapes and sizes of hollow seamless tanks. There is no high injection pressure or high shear levels involved in the process. Black polyethene powder of 35 meshes is measured and is then loaded in the mould. The mould is heated while about two perpendicular axes are being rotated. At the same time, on the surface of the mould, a porous skin is created, which slowly fades as the healing process progresses. A layer of the homogeneous uniform thick wall is formed at the end of the heating process. The mould then goes into a cooling station where the mould is cooled by forced air or water spray. It is then placed in a working zone where the mould is opened, the tank is taken down, and for the next cycle, the mould is reloaded.
Process
The rotational moulding method for constructing water storage tank consists of the subsequent significant process

• Filling of raw material
• Moulding of the part
• Cooling or curing
• Unloading of the completed portion
Cycle time generally varies from six to ten minutes. Cycle time can be as minimum as 2 minutes, and a huge part with a heavy wall requires 15 minutes for each moulding cycle.
