Breast cancer is a known major health concern for women and though there are treatments, there has not been a most effective one. But that was years before because a more precise and more accurate mammography testing is now available due to advanced technology. With this new technique, women is able lower their risk of getting breast cancer as they age.
There are, however, some breast tissue characteristics which make it difficult for identification and treatment of breast cancer’s earliest stages. These characteristics include parenchymal bands, distorted architecture, microcalcifications, tissue redistribution as well as some postsurgical changes.
The traditional procedure in dealing with this is reduction mammoplasty and but it involves cutting of the skin and tissue of the breast which is distinctive and has been termed as “anchor” scar.
