Innovation & Development for Haiti, INC. (IDH), a nonprofit organization supporting positive changes for a better Haiti, will host its 2024 Fundraising Gala on November 16th at 6:00 PM at the Homestead Community Center.
The gala will celebrate IDH’s impact over the past years. It will also highlight IDH’s vision for continued progress, such as building a community center to increase access to religious, educational, health and community programs.
To date, IDH has:
Supported 600 students and 5 schools in Haiti,
Provided an electrical generator to meet the demand for energy, and
Sponsored 3 youth soccer tournaments.
The organization, founded just a few years ago in 2021, has been steadily making a significant impact in the lives of Haitians in Haiti through their innovative, community-driven development programs.

Recognizing the multifaceted challenges facing the country, IDH has taken a holistic approach, directing their efforts towards uplifting communities in many areas, including education, healthcare, sports, economic opportunity, infrastructure, community engagement, and other relevant areas. Altogether, IDH’s programs are tailored to address the unique needs of each community, whether that means establishing new schools to provide children with access to quality education, constructing health clinics to deliver essential medical services, creating vocational training initiatives to foster sustainable livelihoods, or building critical infrastructure like roads and clean water systems.

The upcoming IDH gala will bring together a diverse array of community members, leaders, philanthropists, and supporters who are passionate about the organization's mission. This celebratory event will serve as a platform to share inspirational stories of transformation, acknowledge the tireless efforts of IDH's local partners in Haiti, and, most importantly, raise the necessary funds to ensure the continuation and expansion of impactful development programs.

All proceeds from the event will support IDH’s initiatives, including building a community center to provide Haitians deliberate access to religious practices, educational programs, health services and community engagement opportunities.

Dr. Louis-Jean concluded his remarks stating, "the future of Haiti depends on IDH and IDH depends on you!" as he asked everyone to "join the movement, join IDH!"
