A hybrid printed circuit board (PCB) multilayer is a PCB that uses dissimilar materials with the main objective of optimizing electrical performance, improved system reliability and focused towards high-frequency RF application as well. The materials used in it are very different in heir critical properties than those that are associated with the traditional multilayer PCB. The thing is a mix of the FR-4 materials with the high-frequency PTEE materials or it can be a mix of different high-frequency materials with a different dielectric constant in one multiplayer board.

In a hybrid multiplayer PCB, the materials enable designers to integrate a wide range of electronic circuits that can be proposed with the indigenous vendor developments for the realization of the results that are required. As for a hybrid integrated circuit, it is all about a miniaturized electronic circuit that can be constructed of individual devices like the semiconductors another passive component that can be bonded with the substrate or the printed circuit board.

The hybrid PCB is used in various electronic devices that require all the electrical components like the resistor capacitors, transistors in the small forms to be integrated into it. Almost all the electronic devices are built with the help of hybrid tech, requiring the integration of all such components together for them to work in a functional environment. There are various advantages of hybrid circuits that can work with the devices to ensure that all such components can work together and do the task as assigned to such devices. The following are the advantages of hybrid PCB:

1. Some modern hybrid circuit technologies are required for the embedding of the components within the layers of the multilayer substrate in addition to the components that are placed on the surface of the substrate.
2. Fine-tuning before the final test can be achieved by the active laser trimming.
3. The final resistor value is determined by the design and can be adjusted only by the laser trimming.
4. The composition and the dimensions of the resistors can be selected to provide the desired values as well.
