Materials used in hybrid PCBs
FR-4 and PTFE are the two completely different laminates used in a Hybrid multilayer PCB. The layers can also be made with different laminates from the same material family. Polymide is also a flexible polymer sued for hybrid PCB applications. The material provides a high chemical resistance, works perfectly with a variety of temperatures, offering good electrical properties. Polymide laminates are lightweight, and flexible, and compatible for portable applications. Though, this material is more expensive compared to the other two choices.
