Structure of oil containment boom.

The body is PVC double-sided coated reinforced plastic cloth, which is composed of wrapping cloth and skirt body. The solid foam inner float is sealed in the cloth with oil resistant plastic film. The spacing between the floats forms a flexible partition to ensure the folding and wave riding of the oil boom. The lower end of the skirt under the cloth is wrapped with a counterweight chain. The oil containment boom floats in the water, and the upper and middle parts of the float and cloth cover form the water surface. The inner part of the skirt is curved, and the counterweight chain maintains vertical stability and forms the underwater part. Ridge rope, tension belt and counterweight chain are three longitudinal stress elements. The oil containment boom section composed of several floats is generally 20 meters long, and the sections are connected with joints. One end of the joint is provided with a fixed anchor base, which is convenient for connecting the anchor rope when arranging the oil boom.

Characteristics of PVC oil containment boom.

1. The surface of PVC oil containment boom shall be clean, and the PVC wrapped cloth coating of oil containment belt shall not fall off or crack. The body wrapping cloth shall be sewn firmly without cracking.

2. The oil containment boom has a cylindrical structure and is foamed as a whole. The shape of the floating body is complete. The floating body is sealed and wrapped with oil resistant materials to prevent oil spillage or loss.

3. The metal structural parts shall be galvanized and coated, and the non-metallic materials shall be made of seawater resistant, weather resistant and oil resistant materials.

4. It can be connected and positioned with the ship or the shore by cable. The appearance of the oil barrier is flat and smooth, which is convenient for transportation, towing, cleaning and storage, and has low operation and maintenance cost.

5. The vulnerable parts of the oil boom and the main body of the oil barrier can be repaired in situ, and other accessories can be replaced in situ. The joints of the oil barrier of the same model have good interchangeability.

6. The counterweight chain shall be burred, the surface shall be coated with asphalt paint, surrounded by cloth, and shall not be exposed.

7. The drain hole and the tarpaulin ring on the joint are riveted firmly, cracked or skewed.

8. The normal service life shall not be less than 3 years and the normal storage life shall not be less than 6 years.

Delivery of oil containment boom.

When the oil containment boom is put into the water from the shore or ship, the tug shall cooperate or the ship shall ride against the current, and it shall be put into the water section by section to avoid disturbance. The oil containment boom shall be sorted out before being put into operation without twisting. Pay attention to the direction when putting in and do not twist after dropping, otherwise it is difficult to straighten it in the water.

When throwing or recovering the oil containment boom into the water, the oil containment boom is easy to be damaged by the shore and ship. For example, it is safe and labor-saving to put it in the convex corner with rollers and chutes.
