30 March 2019, Gurugram: Hope Homes is a well-known organization that helps the unfortunate and underprivileged from different sections of society. They help build eco-friendly homes that are fire/ bomb resistant, wind resistant, earthquake resistant, and flood resistant. They also provide training programs in various other fields. In a meeting recently organized in the city, the top levels executed who were present there, highlighted various details about their organization.

“At Sum Drishti, we believe in Equal Vision for the Greater Community. We aim to empower the various sections of the society, thereby bringing about a positive change all around us. We bring together the like-minded people with similar aims and visions to become active volunteers of our programs. We seek selfless service for our volunteers and provide them sufficient training for the activities they wish to be a part of. Our main task is to build calamity resistant, cost-effective homes in various areas of the country which are prone to natural disasters. We wish to provide homes to the people who have no roof over their heads. We try to give them a new lease of life by building shelters. We conduct service trips for volunteers to the chosen locations regularly. One can sign up for the updates from our website.” One of the executives said.
The organization follows the Earthbag Technology to build the homes for the underprivileged. The Earthbag structures are stronger and built using simpler construction methods. The process is inexpensive and also uses a lesser amount of natural resources. It also causes lesser pollution in the environment.

Earthbag technology follows the following steps in the same order:

• Collect Tools and Materials
• Fill the Bags (to around 90% with equal measure)
• Sew/ Stitch the Bags (use a 15 gauge wire about 9” long)
• Place the Gravel Bags on Lower Courses (align the bags)
• Add Barbed Wire
• Place Additional Bags on the sheetmetal Slider
• Repeat the Process using Earth-Filled Bags
• Make Custom-Sized Bags (measure, fill, cut, fold, place it at the required location in the wall)
• Tamping (start at the high points, do it several times)

The service trips to India to volunteer and be an active part of such a noble cause would surely transform the lives of all the people involved in the process. It would be an enriching experience for the volunteers.
About the company: Hope Homes Organization (http://thehopehomes.org/ ) makes an effort to spread the light in lives and take away the darkness by empowering the not so fortunate sections of the society.
