The injection molding process comprises of four phases, first is the clamping stage, which involves safely closing two halves of the material by a clam that’s hydraulically powered to push the mold halves together. Second is the injection stage, where unprocessed plastic is injected into the machine to be melted by pressure and heat and finally injected into the mold cavity. Third, cooling, which starts when the molten plastic comes into contact with the inside surface of the mold, solidifying into the wanted shape. And four is the ejection stage, used to remove the cooled part from the mold. It involves the application of force to detach the part which shrinks and adheres to the mold during cooling.
