This might be a very busy weekend in DarkFall

I don’t think anywhere of design changes opportunity overcome this straightforward fact: either that you are someone who fades and gets it, otherwise you aren't.

This is a good read from your returning player to DarkFall, with important point being released in your comments ought to: much like in any good sandbox game, you should get out there and get the fun as opposed to wait for it to locate you. If you notice it its great gaming, but just lounging around wondering why you are without having fun is not the approach to play a sandbox.

Aventurine is opening up EU to NA transfers soon in DarkFall, which will create some massive chaos on NA shortly. I understand many players are already sitting for the sideline expecting the wedding to acquire back in DarkFall, and it will be interesting to watch the best way many new/returning players will be wandering around in Agon. Pure speculation here, but I'm sure the program is to discover how transfers exhaust, release the expansion and stabilize it, and THEN release some form of trial/buddy program. The next quarter or so will probably be crazy enough in DarkFall without a trial, when you do launch one you need your game in at least decent shape. At the least, most studios do.

Finally, Dragon Age equates tomorrow and Direct2Drive permits you to download the game now to stop the launch day rush you need to playing without delay at 10am Tuesday. Nice move on D2D’s part, and just one other reason to travel digital on the box copy. Very cautiously optimistic concerning this game, hopefully it blows me away.

For that TL:DR crowd, I’ll just sum the newest spotlight for you personally: bla bla bla pure gold bla bla bla.

I’m curious to view the way the new collision detection works together bigger ships pushing smaller ones, and whether it might cause future changes of say, mounts/warhulks pushing (or in addition to this, crushing) players. The mix of nerfed and fixed AoE magic, cheaper plus much more useful ships, and even more ‘stuff’ inside ocean should make life within the open sea much more interesting though. This means a tremendous rise in value to seaside cities and hamlets.

Although this addition is clearly aimed towards fixing/improving naval PvP, hopefully there will also be direct economic and PvE benefits of sea life down the road too. Currently not many mobs populate the stream, and although sea towers can provide some monetary benefit, I believe fighting over such things as offshore mining platforms or some ocean-only resources would be interesting. Grab your clan together, access it a speed boat, and head off on some water-based PvE adventure (with certainly the ‘opportunity’ for getting Pk’ed while this).
