DarkFall created a wide range of noise

Some fear EU will become under-populated, while those found on the NA server fear that everyone caused by EU will likely be a maxed-out character.

With EU to NA server transfers coming this month in DarkFall, there are several who definitely are worried about population and balance being ruined on both servers.

The EU server population worry is unquestionably valid, the way it’s tough to judge the best way many players will transfer and what Aventurine’s plans are to replace those leaving. Because it has been noted many times, Aventurine has yet to very much market DarkFall beyond a few websites, and perhaps there're looking forward to this coming expansion to roll something out. I’m undecided if the trial could be possible (although if EVE can perform it, DF really should be besides), but certainly many are at least interested in giving this excellent game an effort, yet are currently unwilling to decrease $50 on something so different. DarkFall isn't a game title for all, but concurrently it can have a lot to make available; stuff that might surprise people that don’t think they fit the description of the DF player.

Free trial aside, overall marketing for DF would need to increase. When you check meta-critic the overall game still just has two reviews, and even though another Ed Zitron hackjob is clearly something AV desires to avoid, the sport to use current state should garner reasonable attention. It’s not a pretty polished fairy with wings, but anyone who gets beyond character creation should be able to note that DF might be more than a Counterstrike snickersnee with a subscription fee. And although DarkFall created a wide range of noise when rrt had been released on blogs and also other very MMO-focused sites, it’s still something even most MMO fans ignoramus about. The quantity of GW or WoW PvP players signing in on a daily basis wishing that they had something more behind their actions, or the amount of players are on the market wanting simply to become guild crafter who matters? DarkFall certainly captured those that would look for a 3D version of UO, but now it’s time for it to expand and reach other potential fans. Assuming Aventurine puts something together, the two EU and NA servers are going to be fine regarding population.

When it comes to NA server being flooded with maxed-out EU players, it’s not feasible. While ridiculously powerful players create a large amount of noise within the forums, even on EU they're the exception as opposed to the norm. Yes certain clans (Apollo included) will get a few jacked-up members with many seriously developed character (70+ stats, 350+ HP), but like on NA today, a lot of people reach a good level because of their character and then focus on PLAYING the sport rather than gathering their skills/stats. The normal on EU will probably be higher simply based on time, but even 10-15 stat points don’t produce a huge power imbalance. In addition that lots of EU-based characters have been in hibernation waiting for transfer, and NA has little to bother with. The ability balance has a great deal more regarding magic being the dominant combat choice than with period of character development. Things will definitely stand out come transfers, but that can have more regarding political shifts as different alliances gain more members or become more active than with the few 100 stat characters coming over.
